DUTCH CANOPY

Dutch canopies have been used in homes for decades. Increasingly they are being utilised by high street businesses (amongst others) to provide signage and so help attract new customers. Our canopies can be made either fixed position or fully retractable to suit your specific circumstances. Many frame styles are available with “no maintenance” white powder coating or anodised satin finished aluminium hardware. Fabrics are either acrylic canvas or PVC and can be supplied fully printed with logos. Manual operation is by way of a cord and pulley system and electric by motor and remote control or switch.

TRADITIONAL OUTSIDE BLINDS

Traditional blinds are usually supplied with arms and slides and occasionally with trellis extension arms. Pivot or ‘shoe’ arms are also available. The blinds with arms and slides or trellis arms are supplied with a pull down pole for operation. Those supplied with pivot arms can be operated by gearbox or electric motor as well as by means of a pole.

The blinds are wound on helical spring rollers, or on geared or electric motorised rollers. The rollers are housed in specially constructed wooden blind boxes with wooden front laths of a raised panel or ogee profiles. Blind boxes were originally fixed above the name fascia or entablature, and this allowed for the blind cloth to be set at a steep angle which gave a pleasing aspect to the blind, better ventilation and better weathering.

The present tendency is for blind boxes to be fitted below the name fascia panel and consequently a much flatter blind is the result. This sometimes calls for the introduction of brass rainwater drain eyelets on the cover. Wherever possible, consideration should be given to positioning the blind box at the highest level.

LARGE PARASOLS AND UMBERELLAS

BACK TO BACK AWNINGS

Where no wall is available, and possibly a larger area of coverage is required, such as a restaurant terrace seating area for example, we have suggest a back-to-back awning system specifically for this purpose. Initially we have to create a goalpost arrangement of sufficient and adequate strength to carry two back-to-back awnings. Assuming we have suitable grounds to work with, we would normally start by concreting in the upright posts and securing to this the crossbar, all of which would be suitably fabricated in either treated timber or box-section aluminium or steel.

​If the grounds are not suitable to dig, we can fill a large planter with concrete for the upright posts and turn this into a timber slatted seating area or similar afterwards.

Providing this goalpost is constructed in a permanent, non-movable and robust manner, then we can attach virtually any of the manual or electric awnings from our comprehensive and extensive range to either side of the crossbar, potentially creating a covered dining area of up to 50 square meters with one unit. Add to this remote control heating and lighting to create the most perfect and luxurious outdoor terrace catering solution available.

BLIND RECOVERS

All outside blinds & parasols can be recovered so wether you just fancy a change in colour or the existing cover is ripped, torn or generally to old to repair then why not consider recovering your existing blind. A new cover can bring a whole new lease of life into your blind a with a wide range of colour & patterns available it can often makes more sense to recover than renew.

ISOLA FLY

The Isola Fly is a aluminium framed autonomous Awning with a fly blackout PVC cloth offering UV protection throughout the year.  The sophisticated technology that supports and encloses the cloth is covered by a smart frame, which enables adaptation to any existing structure.  The blackout cloth gives protection from dangerous sunrays and blocks out heat, keeping the shaded area cool.  Movement is is transmitted onto lateral guides with a high resistance timing belt with manual gearbox operation as standard or motorised via s SOMFY motor and RS remote control.

LOUVRED CANOPIES

Manufactured from extruded aluminium blades that can be rotated to control sun protection and ventilation by a simple press of a button, when the roof is completely closed it then because a waterproof area. The water drains off to the legs via the integrated guttering. The innovate design of the blades also works when you rotate the blades fully open after it rains, which ensures that your furniture underneath is still protected. Canopies can either be freestanding with four legs or a lean to i.e. fixed off a building which would only usually incorporate two legs. Once the frame itself is in place then we can create infinite possibilities for customisation, making each design quite unique.

Fixscreens blind design solution is also fully integrated into the roof on both the span and pivot sides. You can also add clear crystal window panels to maximise the view of the outside. Screens come in over 50 colours.

Or why not consider using the range of Sliding Doors to include Glass or Loggia Aluminium, Curtains or even the Linius Fixed Aluminium Walls which can be made single or double sided, and in the full passage height or any other size to go with blinds.

Next add LED lights in warm or cool shade, dimmable and operated by remote control. Choose lights in the roof blades, or along the beams as up and/or down lights with a splash of colour LED if your heart desires.
